අද උදෑසන 7.30ට පමණ සිසුන් 6දෙනෙකු කී‍්‍රඩාංගණයේදී ගල් රෝලක් තල්ලූ කර ගනිමින් සෙල්ලම් කර තිබෙනවා. සිසුන් දෙදෙනෙකු ගල් රෝලේ හැඬලය අල්ලාගෙන සිට ඇති අතර, අනෙක් සිව්දෙනා ගල් රෝල ඉදිරිපස සිට එය තල්ලූ කර තිබෙනවා. ගල් රෝල බිත්තිය දෙසට ගමන් කිරීමත් සමගම සිසුන් එම ස්ථානයෙන් පැන තිබෙනවා. නමුත් ගල් රෝලේ යකඩ හැඬලය අල්ලාගෙන සිටි එක් සිසුවෙකුට එම ස්ථානයෙන් පැන ගැනීමට නොහැකිවීමත් සමගම යකඩ හැඬලයේ එක් කෙළවරක උලක් අදාළ සිසුවාගේ පපුව ප‍්‍රදේශයට ඇනී ඇති බවයි වාර්තා වන්නේ.
සිසුවාගේ පපුවෙන් එම අවස්ථාවේදී අධික ලෙස රුධිරය වහනය වූ බවත් ඔහුව වහාම බොරැල්ලේ පිහිටි රිජ්වේ ආර්්‍යා රෝහලට ගෙන යාමට කටයුතු කර තිබෙනවා. නමුත් අධික රුධිර වහනය නිසා අදාළ දරුවා එම අවස්ථාව වන විටත් මියගොස් ඇති බවටයි වාර්තා වන්නේ.

A nine-year-old student of Ananda College, Colombo was fatally injured after being pinned against a wall by a lawn roller in the school premises.
Police revealed student Sinith Wijesinha from Kaduwela was killed in the accident .
Hospital sources said the student was pronounced dead upon admission to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital.
The Director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital Dr. Rathnasiri Hewage said that no obvious external injuries were visible on the deceased student.
"He was brought in at 7.50 a.m. and was dead at the time he was brought to the hospital. Every effort was made to resuscitate him but to no avail. There were no external injuries visible, so we ordered an inquest. The coroner would ask for a judicial post mortem from the Judicial Medical Officer and only then can the internal damage and exact cause of death be determined," Hewage said.
